Debra Hunt is a U.S. Air Force veteran, author, and retired social worker whose career specialized in advocating for vulnerable populations. Over the years, she’s seen firsthand how resilient people can be—even when they don’t think they have it in them.

Debra earned a postgraduate certification in the connection between animal and human abuse, and she has spent years training her own strong-willed dogs in obedience and protection work. In her free time, she loves making pottery, exploring her new home state of Colorado, volunteering in animal rescue, and practicing mind-body balance.

Debra lives in Colorado Springs with her husband, Mark.
