Today we hit the birthplace of Lucille Ball — and yes, we are fully embracing that energy. Brandi paid her respects in typical fashion: by tracking down a Crescent wrench (Jamestown’s lesser-known claim to fame) at a local hardware store. From there, we detoured through Allegheny State Park, where Legend and Nike launched a spirited game of hide-and-seek with the resident squirrels — much to the amusement, and mild alarm, of everyone else in the picnic area.
Then we meandered along the shores of beautiful Lake Chautauqua. As predicted, Brandi, on her motorcycle with Nike in the sidecar, has been stopping traffic. Good thing we’re taking it slow. Not that anyone needs to point out we haven’t made it fifty miles from home yet. We’re calling it intentional. This corner of the region is picturesque, wildly underrated, and absolutely worth savoring — IMHO!!!
